Growing Media Composts
All Thompsons composts are mixed and bagged on site and are either reduced peat or peat-free, (we use black fenland soil with composted bark as a substitute for peat). In recent years we have gone back to our roots and are growing again. We are raising winter and summer bedding and from these plants produce reasonably priced hanging baskets and tubs that have proved extremely popular. We also grow vegetables from seeds for transplanting into vegetable plots or containers to encourage the experience of freshly picked produce.

Emerald Gold All Purpose Compost

Moss Peat

Evergreen’s Premium quality Sphagnum Moss Peat is derived from carefully selected sphagnum mosses that are screened and blended to produce a superior and entirely natural product. Free from artificial additives, this product can be used on its own or with components such as fertiliser and garden lime for optimal plant growth, due to its ability to hold water and nutrients, and its unique structure providing roots with air.
